　文化庁新進芸術家海外研修制度50周年を記念し、新進芸術家として海外で研修を行った建築家と芸術家のコラボレーションによる展覧会「芸術家の棲む家」が開催された。
　アーティストがそれぞれ単独に建築や絵画を制作する時代から、様々な分野の人々とコラボレーションや協働し、他の世界とのつながりから表現を行う時代に移りつつある。そのような新しい状況の表現として多様な分野のアーティストが時間と場を共有し、新たな芸術祭の祝祭空間を生み出そうというものである。
　私たちの出展作品は、清凉院樹林葬墓苑における樹種転換を表す概念モデルとした。自然地形がもたらす眺望性を拠り所に葬送の場を設え、その儀式を通じて永きに亘り人が関わることで植林地がかつての自然林の姿へと還る。自然のサイクルが持つ時間スケールに人の営みを組み込み、長い時間を掛けて風景を調えていくランドスケープアーキテクトの在り方を示した。

　　Our work, a natural burial ground in Siryoin-zen-temple shows a conceptual model of landscape transition. Based on the topographic feature, we set a view spot on the burial site. It shows possibility that if people keep to commemorate here for a long time, this conifer plantation site also turn to be a potential natural forest. This is our attitude as a landscape architect who is in charge of a long-term involvement of a place.
